Faction Name: Eorzean Alliance
Government: Council of the city leaders
Capital: Ul’Dah
Territories: Eorzea, Greece, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Montenegro
Population: TBD
Goals: Protection of Eorzea, Neutralizing the threat of Garlemald and eradicating the Ascians
History:
The origins of the Eorzean Alliance lie far in the past when the city states of Ul’dah, Limsa Lominsa, Gridania and Ishgard were threatened by foreign nations and forces and calamities both. The city states banded together to survive, and with unity came prosperity and strength and so the alliance persisted even after the immediate threat was over.

Now, though nominally still comprised of the original city states with the numerous beast tribes of Eorzea joining later the alliance is far closer to a single nation than an alliance of differeng, sovereign city states.

With the most conventional military strength and economical pull, Ul’Dah has become the de-facto capitol city for the alliance.

Look and Feel:
Eorzea is a land of fantasy straight out of a storybook or game, and the attires favored by its citizens and soldiers reflect that origin. Though the city states are no longer independent one another, the people still proudly wear their ancestral fashion reflecting their city state and its long history and traditions. Outside of military, Ul’dahnians still favor clothes practical for the desert their beloved home is in, with the affluent adornin themselves with jewelry. Ishgardians still proudly remember their long history of knights and clergy, Limsa Lominsans proudly display their origins as a nation of pirates turned merchants and marines and Gridania likewise has stayed the same for over a thousand years, still living in harmony with the Black Shroud and the Elementals that call it home.

Notable Individuals:

Dedesa Desa
Dedesa.jpg

Age: 46
Race: Lalafellin
About: Dedesa Desa is a member of the Syndicate, as well as the mercantile city’s representative on the Eorzean Alliance’s ruling council. An experienced black mage and a hardened veteran of numerous battlefields, of the four leaders she is the one who spends the most time on the fronts and the least time back home. While some grumble about how one of their leaders is more concerned with petty border skirmishes than what she is at actually ruling, the impact on troop morale and performance Dedesa's presence has is undeniable. For the caustic mage is greatly popular among the military.

There are rumours that Dedesa has cast the fabled Meteor spell on her own without the aid of any fellow black mages as most of the times the devastating spell is cast are done, but whether the rumors are true or not only Dedesa Desa knows.

Mobile Weapon: Black Mage [Shatotto]

Nupe-A Pesi

Age: 148
Race: Padjal
About: Nupe-A has been both the Elder Seedseer and Gridania’s representative on the Council for a century, and she has been preaching peace and harmony for all of that time. Yet though the old woman advocates for peace and prefers to avoid bloodshed, it would be foolish to think that as weakness or outright pacifism. She is the foremost White Mage of the time, and few even among the long history of Elder Seedseers have been as tune to the will and power of the Elementals as she is. A fact that many a foe has rued at the moment of their demise as the power of the forest is roused to strike down those who would invade it.

Mobile Weapon: White Mage [Elder Seedseer]

Silvaire de Durendaire
Silvaire.jpg
Age: 31
Race: Elezen
Occupation: Knight-Commander of the Eorzean Frontier
About: Silvaire was appointed as the leader and guardian of Eorzean territory on Earth three years ago. While the role of Knight-Commander has always been both less and more important than what it seems due to essentially being a fill-in for when none of the ruling council members are present, the decision was still controversial due to Silvaire’s young age.

A pragmatic man, Silvaire enthusiastically strives for rapport with the myriad factions on and around Earth, and often employs mercenaries to further the Eorzean agenda and goals while focusing the manpower and most of the resources available to him to defend the land under their control and protection.

Mobile Weapon: Dragoon

Hraesvelgr of the First Brood
First-brood_Hraesvelgr.png

Age: Older than writing
About: Dragons, especially the powerful First Brood, have long been the protectors of Hydaelyn and her children. Hraesvelgr has suffered much over his long existence, and has lost nearly all of his broodbrothers and -sisters, to death or hatred. Even his father, the mightiest of all dragons was lost to them.

The losses weigh heavy on him, yet Hraesvelgr is perhaps the last one of the FIrst Brood who still honors the ancient covenant between Midgardsormr and the will of the planet that made them into the protectors of her and her children.

He and his brood are nominally allies of the Eorzean Alliance. Yet though his children are free - and often willing - to serve in its military, it is clear to everyone that Hraesvelgr himself should not be bothered for petty squabbles between Hydaelyn’s children like that of the conflict raging between Garlemald and the Eorzean Alliance.

Military:

Eorzean Alliance’s military is largely comprised of Primal ‘technology’ and their dragon allies. Though each Primal is a massive threat to both the area they are in and their foes, the summoning of genuine primals is extremely heavily restricted both by those who are allowed to perform a summoning and when primals are deployed. Much of Eorzean force is made out of ‘lesser primals’ that are formed by using Soulstones. These lesser primals use the ‘pilot’s’ own aether instead of that of the surrounding area or crystals, and they change into fixed forms and images. There are four different kinds of Soulstones, supplied by each of the city states. They are:

Warrior (Limsa Lominsa)

Height: 28m
Weight: 86 tons
The only mass production Super Eorzean Alliance has access to. Crystal Bearers that choose Warrior as their soulstone of choice have several times the mortality rate of other models despite boasting the strongest defenses. This is because of the very thing that gives Warriors their sturdy defenses and ability to tear massive gashes to the land as well as charge at the enemy at blinding speed: Inner Beast.

Inner Beast is a demon that all Warriors must overcome, aweinspiring prowess in battle at the cost of their sanity and control over their actions. A Warrior learns to control their Inner Beast when they have the opportunity to wield it in defense of their comrades, but such an event unfortunately often ends in the demise of the heroic Warrior. Warriors that fail to overcome their Inner Beast are sent on a suicide mission or outright put to death if they assault their comrades.

White Mage (Gridania)

Height: 11m
Weight: 10 tons

They protecc, but they also attacc. Don’t mess with a White Mage in Black Shroud.

White Mages wield Astral magic. While they are hardier than Black Mages, the difference is negligible and chances are that if any attack lands on a White Mage they will still die. But while Astral, or White as most refer to it as, magic can be used to cause damage to their enemies, the strength of a White Mage lies in their ability to protect others and themselves from damage. They are capable of casting and maintaining barriers both around themselves and their allies, an ability that means they are often paired with Black Mages.

Black Mage (Ul’dah)
Elezen_Black_Mage_XIV (2).png LjsCWFgtilxu8U1vPWcNMtmims (1).png

Height: 8m (Elezen) 4m (Lalafell)
Weight: 6.7tons (Elezen), 2.8 tons (Lalafell)

Awesome, Cosmic firepower, itty bitty paper thin defenses.

The Black Mages are the definition of a glass cannon. Wielders of umbral, or Black as most call it, magic, despite their diminutive size (doubly so if they are the Lalafell model!) the firepower and destructive magicks they wield makes almost everything else in existence pale in comparison. Even if a Black Mage can only barely muster the aether to cast a simple Fire spell, that will still be enough to take out a magitek walker.

The price they pay for their destructive capabilities is the utter lack of mobility or ways to protect themselves. While they can cast a barrier around themselves, the amount of aether it consumes makes it inefficient compared to that of White Mages. Which is why the two are almost always paired together, shoring each others’ weaknesses

Dragoon (Ishgard)
Dragoon_Artwork_XIV (1).png
Height: 16m
Weight: 41 tons
The least numerous of the mass production models, and the elite of Eorzean Alliance, Dragoons are hybrids between Real and Super that boast surprisingly high protection while still having impressive mobility. Their signature move is the ability to instantenously jump to extreme heights only to crash down on their target. It was forged in fire by the knights of yore in their battle against the Dravanian horde, capable of striking down a dragon from the sky with a single blow.

And so, despite lacking the ability to fly Dragoon is easily capable of striking down targets high in the air, Jumping from one foe to another.

Dragons:

Eorzean Alliance's dragon allies mostly come in masses of wyverns and, well, dragons.
