In addition to the requisite wolf-ears (paired, oddly enough, with a human-like set as well) and fluffy tail, Adenine sports moderately-enlarged canines and sharp, toughened and retractable nails more akin to claws as a result of her beast heritage. As one might surmise from their rapid spread across the width of Africa in humanity proper's 300-year absense, beastmen tend to be a prolific lot. The royal lineage descended from the Spiral King himself is no exception, not least thanks to his youthful longevity. And so despite being borne of his blood, the wolf-woman known as Adenine is little more than another tiny branch on the thickly-laid boughs of the monarchal family tree.
Yet in terms of inherting her father's spirit - not to mention raw strength and affinity for spiral energy - Adenine quickly proved herself head and shoulders above most of her brothers and sisters. Not that such always proved beneficial, as dealing with the strong-willed, bull-headed and rebellious youth was an utter nightmare for her retainers. Eventually resigned that there was little they could do to prevent the girl from wandering the breadth of their kingdom in spite of her status, she instead was given blessings to do so as a sort of public face. Surprising nobody, the rough-edged beast folk quickly became quite fond of their equally unrefined quasi-princess.
Shrewdly recognizing that Adenine's informal nature and near-total impartiality in who she associated with lent the woman a sort of odd charisma, the Spiral King himself called forth his daughter. Bestowing upon her one of the Beastmen Nation's premier Gunmen, the Lazengann, he bid her venture forth into the wider world outside their borders and avail them of what it truly meant to be a beastman - to demonstrate both that they could be staunch allies if courted, and terrible foes if crossed.

A unique one-off Gunmen, the Lazengann was one of the first machines produced from start to finish by beastmen hands rather than rebuilt from salvaged and cast-off parts. Alongside its sister unit Gurren Lagann it served as the prototype for the Grapearl series of limited-production machines, and its performance is accordingly higher. Particularly notable is the frame's flexibility, allowing it to perfectly mimic a flesh-and-blood fighter's movements.
