Biography:
James was born in the PLANTs as a Coordinator, both of his parents being Naturals who were also high level programmers working on military hardware. While in his early childhood he was sheltered quite well, it was when he reached the age of 9 that his life began to spiral out of control. His parents began to forcefully make him excel in his school, berating him for every mistake he made because he was a Coordinator. They thought it would make learning easy for him, but sadly he was at the bottom as far as Coordinator skills went. While he became average over time, it still did not stop his parent’s constant bickering about his performance.
When he was 18, James was made to work on the same programs his parents had been working on. When he churned out his first program, his parents became enraged, it was JUST like their own programs. His parents never wanted a son, they just wanted someone who could surpass them, do what they couldn’t. They wanted a tool to make their lives easier, to make them noticed on the programming scene. To them, all the Coordinators seemed over privileged with their enhancements, they only made their son in order to use him like the tools they thought Coordinators to be. And with their disappointment at an all time high, they kicked James out onto the streets.
With no one to turn to, James resorted to crime and became a petty criminal in the colonies, particularly working for a woman who caught his eye. For 5 long years he served under the pretense that he was wanted, he had something to do. But when that woman took someone else instead of him, he saw the truth. Everyone he’s ever met only wanted to use him as a tool, even if he went somewhere else that was all he would ever be. With this experience, he was pushed towards his breaking point and soon decided to join BAHRAM, quickly earning his spot as an Orbital Frame Runner due to his now grown skills as a Coordinator.
However after the attack on the L1 Sharon Apple concert, he could see he didn’t have the guts for this job. Even as he tried to put on a tough persona, he just couldn’t. All these people would suffer for what purpose? To make him more popular in BAHRAM? If he did that, he’d be no better than his parents. Thus he accordingly deserted his place in BAHRAM and made his way to Earth, hoping to live a quiet life. Hopefully, anyways.
