Biography:
When Howitzer was a child, he greatly respected those who fought to save Mars from the BETA. In fact, one might say he idolized them. To many, Alternative V was nothing short of a catastrophe, but to young Howitzer it was inspiring. The evil that had caused his family pain, that had taken his father, was almost entirely wiped from Mars. It was better than being dead, wasn't it?
When the colonists were taken in by the League, Howitzer only looked up to them, as well. It was something which gave them opportunity, but in the back of his mind, he thought that the blame placed on Rayleonard never made much sense. Even so, he had faith in these Corporations, and when their efforts toward Earth were underway, he joined without hesitation.
Others saw the new life on the Earth as some sort of marvel. The miraculous recovery, the wonders brought from other worlds. But Howitzer saw only another impending BETA. Perhaps not as forward, but every bit as insidious. Outsiders, aliens, a threat that ought to be taken care of, and those who considered them friends were only making themselves vulnerable. His opinion was seen as extreme (or agreeable by others of a less tolerant mentality), but ultimately it likely would never have been anything more than a topic he kept in mind for conversations in the hangar bay. He had been an exceptional pilot, after all, and his aptitude as a LYNX had brought him rapidly up the rankings of Collared.
However, all of this was thoroughly dependent on his faith in the League. And the loss of his dear mother in 2870, simply stabbed and left to die in the corporate wasteland of the space colonies, left this faith thoroughly in shambles. The Corporations could not be trusted to protect anyone, nor could the nations below. BETA was a threat, and countless more surely lie in wait. All of humanity was thoroughly willing to risk itself for seemingly nothing at all.
On his next sortie, Howitzer simply left. Those who came to hunt him down, in his hideout deep among the jungles of Bolivia, either died in combat or by fleeing into the deadly Tiberium to the north. Yet, others who sought him out instead wished to work alongside him, for one reason or another. Their personal concerns meant nothing to Howitzer, and within only a few years the former camp had become something of a guerilla fortress, a location few dared to approach if they even had the resources to do so. From this place, Howitzer now leads his collection of outcasts to simply destroy whatever they may. If some survive, good. Maybe they will learn, but of course Howitzer has no faith in that. He will stop at nothing until the world is in flames, even if many in the world consider his ragtag militia nothing more than a nuisance. Why?
Because Alternative V was surely preferable to this.

Combat Style: Collateral damage.
Strengths: Howitzer is both willing and able to cause any amount of damage to innocent bystanders when in combat, which allows for him to utilize both his wide armory and his NEXT's Kojima Reactor to its fullest potential even in those places where most would never wish to do so. His knowledge of guerilla tactics and underhanded combat is also quite good, and overall he is well-suited to combat in most unconventional situations.
Weaknesses: To be frank, it is straightforward, honest combat where Howitzer is at his weakest. His fighting style, and his own aims, make this sort of combat the least ideal for him, and while his status as a LYNX does mean he is still quite skilled compared to the average pilot, others who excel on the field of battle will find they are quite easily able to outpace him if he is forced into a good, clean fight.
