History:
In 2849, people came across a phenomena they hadn’t seen before in Southern Italy, of red liquid seeping out of a bottom of a mine. By 2850, the newly found material had been dubbed ‘Coral’, and a research group nominally funded by the U.N. but in practice by Holy Britannian Empire was set to research any uses this Coral could have.
By 2852, after the initial findings were deemed promising enough, this group was formalized into the Rubicon Research & Development Institute and a more permanent location for the research was built on the shores of Rubicon. In the following years, interest on Coral from the Holy Britannian Empire waned, as did the funding, leading to Rubicon Technologies being formed in 2855. Created primarily to sell their very first products to fund further research. Though Rubicon Technologies was initially created to support RRDI, they were successful enough for their influence in the dynamic between the two to wax enough to eventually eclipse over RRDI. By the late 2860s Rubicon Technologies absorbed Rubicon Research & Development Institute into itself by buying it from the U.N. - though in practice it was closer to a takeover than an amicable transaction. At the same time, the corporation rebranded itself as Rubicon RD Institute.
Since their beginning, from their very first products, the Rubicon RD Institute has always specialized in Human Augmentation. The augmentation is done by incorporating C-Pulse sensory technology into their bodies. The first surgical procedures of this had high failure and lethality rates, which have been gradually lowered with later ‘generations’ of augmented humans. The latest generation, the first of which received their surgeries in 2878, are the ninth generation. The Ninth Generation augments and surgery are stable, and complications in the procedure are rare.
Since the RT absorbed RRDI into itself, the company has started to encroach into the Armored Core business, creating few parts that make use of the Coral Technology - though the quantity of the parts is as exceptional as their quality.
Look and Feel:
As a corporation, marketing their expertise, professionalism and competence is of the utmost importance, and unlike many of the other corporations that form the military hardware market, RRDI is a relatively recent entity and does not have a decades long reputation for reliableness. Because of this they place great emphasis in their appearance, and their agents are always immaculately dressed in well-fit and well-tailored business suits.

Bio: Jane Lokeson first appeared in RRDI’s staff list in 2875, securing a position as a secretary working in it’s Research & Development division almost straight after graduating from Northview University of Business and Science. She disappeared for two months in 2878, before reappearing and somehow taking over the company. The only thing outsiders ever heard about the incident was that all the technology seemed to be on her side.
Curiously, Jane Lokeson has not been seen since, and all communication has been done via remote means. Much of her goals and motives are still unknown, but what is known is that her attitude towards the League and other extraterrestrial groups is much colder than that of her predecessor.
