Whispered. The name stops making sense when it becomes loud.

Biography: Lavrentiy Morden appeared, at first, to be merely another childhood genius - but there always seemed to be an undercurrent of dissatisfaction and unspoken tension in his work, even from the very moment he began his actual schooling. Nothing ever seemed to satisfy his rapidly growing intelligence, and even the cutting edge of conventional physics seemed to be trivial in the face of his apparently supernatural ability to grasp the most complex of concepts. He seemed destined for greatness, perhaps somewhere among the League's ranks. As a matter of fact, Omer Science Technology even went out of their way to scout him, sweeping his accomplishments away behind a curtain of corporate secrecy.

Together, they were going to create something truly revolutionary.

It wasn't long before he vanished. The signs had been there from the beginning - he was Whispered, one of the destined few "blessed" with the ability to construct Black Technology. Instead of choosing future exploitation in the hands of the Corporations, he'd fled to Amalgam, the one place where his talents would be "appreciated". Instead of becoming just another lab rat, he made himself indispensable to the covert group's future development, constructing Arm Slave prototypes and incorporating Black Technology into the group's weapons. His familiarity with the League's corporate practices was enough to give the otherwise stained organization a competitive edge in dealing out arms and armor, even with the innate suspicion attached to their conflict-stoking operations.

The language of terror and destruction bloomed from his hands.

He was liberated, in a way. He could hurt who he wanted to without reproach - he was untouchable, now. What were they going to do? Revile him? He had never belonged among them in the first place. Here, he could exercise his freedom. He was invulnerable. Nobody could kill him; they either needed him or couldn't scratch him.

He'd made the correct choice.

Mobile Weapon: Plan-1055 Belial

Affiliation: Amalgam

Combat Style: Piece-by-Piece
Strengths: Although it would be difficult to describe Lavrentiy as purely logical, the razored focus necessary to utilize the Lambda Driver has shaped his battles into vicious exchanges where the Belial's speed and power are leveraged to literally tear apart opposition. Completely willing to abuse the AS's defensive and offensive power without limit, he is proficient in both ranged and melee exchanges, but prefers the latter; close combat is the Arm Slave's crucible, and the Lambda Driver is most powerful when used for instinctive combat.
Weaknesses: The Lambda Driver is a system without weakness; save for one, the pilot. Limited by his attention and ability to concentrate, Lavrentiy's near-psychotic belief in his own invincibility is also his downfall. Any successful attack made against him will make him falter to an almost crippling degree until he refocuses, limiting the Lambda Driver's performance as his own will to fight drops. Additionally, although he can manage against groups, the Belial's defenses are rather directional due to its dependence on reactive protection.

Description:
ARMSLAVE_Plan1055.png

History: A cutting-edge Arm Slave produced by the Amalgam organization, the Belial is notable for almost entirely hinging around the Black Technology device known as the Lambda Driver. Lacking the traditional weapons complement afforded to an AS, the Belial instead relies on Driver-enhanced movement and integrated armaments to brutally dismantle opponents with obscene grace. In a total liberation from usual design philosophies, it is flight-capable and lacks even the most meager of physical defenses, opting to entirely rely on the sheer power of the Lambda Driver for both offensive and defensive output. Its single handheld weapon is a bizarre bow that fires bolts accelerated by the Lambda Driver to absurd speeds, capable of easily defeating even other Driver-equipped machines with a direct hit. All-in-all, the machine is still practically useless as anything else than an executor's personal guillotine - as the intricacies of its design are unsuited for mass production - to say nothing of its overreliance on the often finicky Lambda Driver. However, Amalgam still has a use for decisive weapons, and the Belial is nothing if not utterly lethal in combat.
