A recent addition to SONG, Natalie Otkaz' origins are more nebulous than most, as there are little to no extant records of her life. The following is a transcript of what can be ascertained from her own testimony, and independent research:
What is known is that her family attempted an Exodus from Siberia almost fifteen years prior, one that failed just as it neared the Kazakhstan border, leaving few survivors. Natalie was taken in by an undisclosed mercenary group, and spent her youth in the Middle East being raised as a child soldier. Despite their harshness, she seems to look back on these days fondly, spending time with her mentor, who taught her how to survive. She developed an appreciation for the conventional, the reliable - and the value of simple, everyday things taken for granted in more developed nations, and a disdain for excess that persists into the modern day.
At some point, the two ostensibly parted ways, and she made her way to South America, fighting under various warlords squabbling over territory. During this time, she acquired fragments of a Relic as payment for a job, as well as a supply of an illicit copy of LiNKER presumably leaked into the black market.
During a SONG scouting event in Brazil, there was a sudden attack of the Noise - but at that time, Natalie intervened, rescuing the scout party from certain death. According to her, she had been using the Relic in question to act as a freelance Noise hunter for those communities either distrustful of, or outside the reach of the UN - but the LiNKER substitute was causing severe strain to her body, and after being informed of this, she willingly agreed to join SONG as an operative.
The Shensoujing relic she uses was believed to be lost over fifty years prior, as one of the earliest Gear models ever developed to combat the Noise, in transit over the South China Sea. While there remain many questions about the validity of this information, and the veracity of her own statements, she has nevertheless been eager to demonstrate her skills, and after a period of observation, permitted to join the team.

Strengths: A pragmatic style that eschews flashiness in favor of stealth and precision attacks. Natalie makes use of Shensoujing's ability to manipulate light to overcome its weaknesses, hitting and running, always staying on her feet and looking for a moment of weakness to capitalize on. Years of survivalist training allow her to fight through even terrible wounds, and pull out surprise wins even in dire straits.
Weaknesses: Ultimately, Natalie struggles with unlocking the full potential of her Symphogear. Used to more conventional warfare, she tends to mimic, rather than innovate, when her Gear is capable of much more with someone who has a gifted imagination. Not especially gifted up close without the element of surprise, she prefers to play keep-away, and struggles against opponents able to keep up and continually force her onto the back foot.
