A legacy is an unusual thing, carrying with it either a lot of responsibility or none. It shapes expectations regardless of how reasonable they are supposed to be. Some people simply not taking into account how a legacy forms to begin with when they project their wishes for those inheriting it outward. Their father was some and such? Then they must be interested in the same things, their mother studied so and so? Why he must be an expert by now to be the child of such a woman. Someone could be nothing more than a corpse waiting to die in a hospital bed but purely by association an image is formed. Some seek to rise to that station or even above it.
Some neglect it however. Uncaring about the expectations placed upon them, however there are those which do both. Delius certainly falls in one of those categories, though which one is not known. There are theories about his heritage of course, being the alleged bastard child of a by now retired top ranking NEXT tends to have that sort of effect. Surely a man such as this, coming out of nowhere with such a notable machine must have a heritage of hidden prowess. That's what people say, it simply is how they justify a nobody appearing out of thin air. Though there is an implied truth there. Yet nothing has ever been officially confirmed, or unofficially for that matter.
Perhaps there are those trying to justify their own positions by dragging someone down in the mud with them. There’s a simple truth out there, that some are unwilling to see. Some nobody was simply better than them, earning the validation of someone a generation of Lynxes yearned for one simple reason that people simply didn’t get.

In truth a successor to the first White Glint, a Rayleonard affiliated NEXT which suffered a similar fate to its benefactor or so the story goes. The truth is a lot harder to find, at least if one elects to not believe the tale told by the League. Regardless, the name and even structure of the White Glint lives on to this day. A legacy of combat, belonging to a man who used to hold a top 5 position among all NEXT pilots. Held in hands who see it not as a piece worthy of a place in a museum, but simply as a weapon.
