Born Emmaraldi Ro Britannia, she was dubbed the nineteenth in line for the throne of the Empire of Britannia. Her early life was of little note as she was largely sheltered by her mother from the deadlier intrigues of the court. This came to an end when her father Samuel Ro Britannia was caught in a scandal and was forced to renounce his claim to the throne. Emmaraldi was targeted afterwards by those who had ruined her father, ultimately resulting in the young and inexperienced child being caught in a similar trap to her father. The sitting Emperor - Alexandros zi Britannia - declared her a criminal and shame to the bloodline before sending her as a prisoner to the prison-nation of Arzenal.
Now alone among the masses she was set to be easy fodder for the beasts that lived there wearing human faces, but Emmaraldi had other plans. She discarded her true name, took up the nom de guerre Emma Ro, and began working her way through the hierarchical structure she found herself in. The newly-renamed Emma swore to herself that she'd defy the will of those who'd put her here and survive. She might not be a Britannia in rank anymore, but she was one by blood and would use that strength as best she could.
As she grew she danced her way through the social structure of Arzenal and slowly built her strength. As suicidal as it was she saw a chance to become a pilot; and by God she took it. It was an impulsive decision on her part. It was out of character. It was seemingly a doomed endeavour when she was assigned a seemingly half-busted Para-Mail, but something about it called to her blood. It was time to test herself in the crucible of war. It was time to see how far she could go on her strength; if only to show those who hated her she would not go quietly. She was a Britannia after all; and she would remind the world of it in the name of her wrongly ruined father and her own wrongful ruin... Or perish in the attempt.
