History:
There was once a child who dared to dream in a time where dreaming was a luxury. He peeked beyond what was he was allowed to see by the AI overseers of the Earth and wondered if there ever would be a time where he and his family would rejoin those who fled for the distant stars, to make humanity whole once more. Through the tribulations of the following centuries, he has kept this dream close to his heart. It's a dream that has survived his scientific pursuit of knowledge and it's a dream tempered by his disappointment of the imperialistic Holy Britannian Empire and the equally greedy League.
As he grew older and older, his dream had been molded as if it were steel, shaped into a sword with which he will carve and part the invisible cages imposed upon humanity by those who sought only power.
Celestial Being was formed then, the name of his blade. He gathered like-minded intellectuals, the best of his generation and those before and after him. Together they formed their tools, powerful mobile weapons each made to dominate the mobile weapons of the League and Britannia. But the dreamer's plans were halted even before they could truly began, a traitor was planted in his ranks, a mercenary hired by the league.
It has been many years since. The man has since died, entrusting his dream to the one who stood by him until his death. Now, Celestial Being was nothing but a cautionary tale of naive idealism to the rare few who knew them even as they bide their time to sharpen their blades, watching as the world slowly teeters to the edge of open conflict and senseless violence.
Look and Feel:
Celestial Being has thrived in a culture of futuristic but simple elegance for many years. They are a group of people whose needs and wants are constantly met but they are also a pragmatic lot, often adapting clothing of contemporary cultures should they need to be on Earth or in the Colonies. Their uniforms are snappy and colorful, however, bringing much needed pigmentation to the usually white and gray walls of their massive home.
Notable Individuals:
Thomas Sonnenkind: The dreamer, the visionary founder of Celestial Being. He has died long ago, younger than he should, a direct result of living a harsh life of survival. His well-preserved corpse lies in a massive field of flowers in the middle of Hacienda Station.
Arturo Vitre, Director of Operations: Once merely the pilot of the original Celestial Being team, Arturo Vitre is the man entrusted by Thomas Sonnenkind with his dreams of the future. Mischievous and witty, the flamboyant man is known for being a silver-haired trickster who subtly drives Celestial Being ever forwards.
Lyang Seoyeon, Head of R&D: The eccentric and absolutely insane head of R&D is a hazard to herself but her sheer usefulness forces the entire organization to tolerate her despite their increasing worries for her health, mental or otherwise. For her part, Seoyeon loves being in the forefront of innovation, agreeing wholeheartedly to Sonnenkind's vision.
Mass Production Machines:
None. Celestial Being specialize in keeping as little presence as possible. What mobile weapons they have are highly specialized and reserved for their Meisters.
