One of two Brave units left unfinished by the dissolution of GGG. Shiryu's AI core was left dormant in the partially constructed orbital base along with the core of his brother unit, Saikouryu. The data regarding their construction and equipment was recovered from the orbital base's systems by Alice and relayed to Earth for completion.
Designed to fill gaps in the composition of the team noticed during the battle against EI-01, Shiryu is a dedicated combat machine unlike his progenitors. His signature Anchor Cross is a heavy hitting railgun capable of firing special projectiles called Black Nails that are charged with concentrated energy from the GS Ride to pierce barriers created by Zonder metal. Using the dial beneath Shiryu's chestplate, the electromagnetic field of the Anchor Cross can be focused outward to create the powerful Death Grip which rivals GaoGaiGar's Plasma Hold. While generally a ranged specialist, Shiryu is well versed in close and even hand to hand combat courtesy of the AI training data from a pair of unfinished Chinese Brave Robots that was used to expedite the final steps of the Super AI's learning.
Shiryu is the brother unit of Saikouryu and the right half of the combined Brave Robot, ReiRyuJin. As the "right" brother, Shiryu is calm, cool, and often remarkably aloof and casual. He's familiar with his role as the primary weapon in the dynamic and seems to derive enjoyment from it even when there aren't lives on the line.

More than just fans and producers were following Irura's developing career however, as the UN, seeking to send any sort of probe into the intelligence deadzone that is Siberia, reached out to SONG to test the reaction of a promising relic at her first concert abroad. While it seemed like nothing more than a formality at first, the test produced very clear results: Irura was a match for the Alkonost relic.
Having since been approached by SONG and even direct UN representatives, Irura agreed to become a Symphogear user to both handle any nmBoise outbreaks across the tundra and to act as an informant on the other side of the SR's iron curtain.
As there has been no known Noise activity detected within Siberia even before Irura's induction into SONG, Irura has largely busied herself with idol related duties and has a great number of concerts scheduled well in advance. Despite her focus being elsewhere, her performance with the Alkonost doesn't seem to suffer even remotely despite her relative inexperience.

As well, while not strictly due to Irura's nature, Alkonost manifests its Armed Gear not through a standard weapon but as a hefty belt which holds the "Alkonost egg" and adjacent wings to carry out its attacks; this suits Irura as it keeps her hands free for more showy and evasive dance moves.
The Alkonost boasts the unommon ability to fly thanks to its natural wind and electricity generation; using the wings attached to its Armed Gear along with smaller winglets on the wrists, ankles, and head, it is able to perform agile maneuvers and get up to remarkable speeds.
