Fourth Day of the First Calendar Month
Not but a whole 24-hours had passed since Xia Rosenthal had announced free hunting to all MS Hunter groups on vultures and now the people of Io itself. For Io that was a neutral and independent nation, if one could even call it that, it was almost an open declaration of war. The planet possessed no standing army, only groups of militia that worked around the various population centers of the otherwise barren planet. On the surface, there seemed to be little reason for this declaration, though taking a deeper look, one could speculate the reason for this.
Resources.
Io was by far the most resource-dense moon of Jupiter, which made it one of the biggest targets for the Praetorians during the Insurrection War. Having such a strategically important location not in control of one’s grasp could only make one covet it extremely.
The situation was grim for Io to say the least. They lacked both the manpower and financial power capable of standing against what was bound to come their way. Those native to Io needed little to be persuaded over, the experiences they had with the Dominion and Jovian Alliance were emotionally charged enough to never go against Io.
To the independent and the unlikely MS Hunter group, another plea would have to be made.
There would be no speech, no grand appearance by Io in response. All that was sent out was a message, to all Vulture and MS Hunter groups active in the Jupiter area.

To all Independent Forces in the Jovian Sphere,
As of yesterday, The Garland Dominion and the Jovian Alliance have declared what amounts to war on all Vultures and us, the Free Cities of Io. Such a declaration is uncalled for and is little more than the Garland Dominion showing their greed and desire for Io’s resources.
To all of those who have come from Io, to those labeled as Vultures, and to even you, the many MS Hunter groups active in the Jovian Sphere; I ask you this:
Remember the Day of Raining Hellfire.
During the Insurrection War, the Dominion was perfectly content with erasing the population of Io, if it meant elimination of the Praetorian threat. They speak of peace and unification, but the truth of the fact is that they are little more than dictators who seek to possess the entirety of Jupiter.
In truth, we lack the military needed to stand against the Jovian Alliance, and lack the wealth to counter-offer what the Dominion is offering. What we can offer you though, is land. To those who join hands with Io, to those who eliminate the Hunters that seek us, the Free Cities of Io offer you our land. The rights to your land as well as the resources, ruins, and relics that reside within your land. All of it shall be yours.
If such an offer does not offer you, there is little more I can say but, good luck.
