There are few things man won't do in the name of profit, and Liam is no exception to the rule. A mercenary not only by trade but by mindset through-and-through, the contracts he has proven unwilling to accept have been far and few between. Mars-born and recognized as possessing high potential as a Lynx at a young age, the man was taken under the wing of the League. More specifically he was poached by a remote subsidary of TORUS - one of the premier Ruling Companies of Mars - who sought to develop his potential to their own ends.
Though presently employed on a technicality under Collared, he still holds a strong loyalty 'under the table' to TORUS, and to a more limited degree the League in general. Beyond a strong reputation as a no-frills gun for hire not above taking contracts others might reject as unsavory, he most notably pilots a powerful experimental TORUS craft known as ARGYROS. While often tasked with doing the League's dirty work, it's not uncommon to see him employed on more varied contracts as well. While the man isn't some sort of sociopath who goes out of his way to cause wanton destruction, if some degree of collateral damage is needed to fulfill a contract...well, that's just business.

Despite being in the Heavyweight class with thick armor supplemented by a staggering affinity for Primal Armor, the ARGYROS prototype boosters keep this machine's mobility in the realm of Middleweight NEXTs. The design's primary weakness is the ARGYROS/G's lower-than-average energy output; traded off for a high initial energy storage, the CANOPUS primary weapon must be used conservatively in drawn-out battles. The ARGYROS legs are also surprisingly lacking in stability despite their carrying capacity, meaning the utilization of heavy weapons such as back grenade launchers and sniper cannons suffers heavily while in motion. It can be equipped with two specialized parts - ARGYROS/XA weapon arms and the unique LETHALDOSE back-mounted assault cannon - that increase firepower dramatically but also unleash tremendous Kojima contamination when used.
Gifted to Liam Meyer by his TORUS benefactors, the ARGYROS is loaded with extensive data-logging equipment beneath its armored shell. As a testbed unit, the wide variety of battle scenarios its mercenary pilot finds himself in are perfect for obtaining the combat telemetry vital for further development of NEXT technology.
