December 28th
Area 11, Britannian Military Base
08:37 AM

A most unusual arrival, a ship bringing something out of the pit of hell from where none return. The only reason to extract one who hadn't paid their sentence was because they could offer something of greater value than their penance. Such was the case for the new arrival, after the... Situation in area 12 had collapsed and the Gran Cher's had been retired prematurely people within the structure of Britannia began looking for alternate solutions to its greatest issue.

And one happened to be something they had seen the 'unnamed potential adversary' struggle against, a small pretense but all one needed for political protection. A machine that functioned in space while also maintaining function in orbit, both boxes were checked by the thing in that Caerleon that was preparing to dock. There was but one issue, a report of it moving independently even speaking. So several Sutherlands stood at the ready in case an attempt was made to try something funny but without humor.

Of course that was not the only thing transported, the other thing that came out of hell had been given a, well guarded, room without view. A cell in function but far from one in form, a comfortable bed and couch were there from the short ride from Arzenal to Area 11. On top of that two things had been waiting for James inside the room, a one piece pilot suit more in line with his new employers perhaps unfortunately aesthetically suited to Dolores' design and the other a stack of papers including a passport representative of his new trial stature as a Honorary Britannian as 'thanks for accepting the job' but beyond that being mostly about the etiquette expected of him during this trial period.

Of course, the thing he was sent in here with were orders to get ready and change into the proper attire to meet those on site. Now, four hours since their departure there was not a knock before his door opened. The Britannian official who had made him the offer and welcomed him stood in the opening.
"It is time Private Carter, do not keep the Viceroy waiting."

The task at hand was simple enough in a sense, a custom detailed on the first page of the instructions provided so that he could not miss them.
Whenever a new machine entered service in Britannia it was to perform the salute of its military before the Pilot departed it to meet their superior and now, as they entered the appropriate place. Not messing that up was key to his continued job security.

Which left things in the hanger the ship came into moments later, the Caerleon docking calmly before opening its hangar. A blonde woman surrounded by knights and the 'extra security detail' in case the Orbital Frame did anything out of the ordinary. Viceroy Eleanor la Britannia silently waited for the usual song and dance to begin.

At this time, James was already in his pilot uniform. Despite the pink hue, he found it infinitely more comfortable than whatever he had to wear in Arzenal. He did not mind the pink at all either, it actually looked pretty stylish combined with the black of his new outfit. So overall, this job was turning out better than in Arzenal. But of course, he did have his concerns, Britannia is full of opportunists. He didn’t even know if he was legitimately released from Arzenal, not a single Overseer had come to tell him about the arrangements. But he was at least grateful to be out of that trash heap, now he could probably get a proper comfy job here. And honorary Britannian to top it all off, they were trying really hard to win him over. But the only side James over took was his own, not after Clockflower.

“Yes, sir. But you’re certain the Hounds won’t try to drag me back, right?”

James picked up the manual for one last look at the procedure. So just walk out and salute? Sounds easy enough, he just hoped Dolores will follow his instructions. If his attempt at coding was any indication, it probably will go south somewhere down the line. The past few hours he had been mentally preparing himself for such an eventuality.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Meanwhile in the Caerleon’s hangar…

Dolores was swaying its chassis from side to side, it had been excited at the prospect of visiting a new place. Especially a place as regal as Britannia, according to its research anyways. But when most of its research involved propaganda glorifying the nation, Dolores was very much going in wearing rose tinted glasses. It wondered what the royalty of this land looked like, many ideas floated around in its circuits. Charming? Hideous? Pure? Ill-mannered? Good? Evil? It just had to know!

“Truth and hope in our fatherland! And death to every foe! Our soldiers shall not pause to rest! We vow our loyalty…”

Dolores began to sing a bit of Britannia’s own national anthem in a bit of a off key tone. It seems it was trying to decipher the meaning of the song.

“Death and soldiers? Isn’t that a bit dark for a kingdom or empire? Shouldn’t it be more about happiness and prosperity?”

The officer shook his head at the question, "Arsenal's authority does not extend to Britannian soil. The most they could do to you is request you be returned, any attempts to directly apprehend you now would be in complete violation of their tasks." He reassured the man, the fear was understandable given his previous place of residence and it proved to the man before him that Arsenal worked for its task of keeping prisoners in.

"They do not apprehend, merely detain. The only authority with the ability to return you there now is Britannia." it was a comfort as much as a warning. "Now then, we will be landing shortly." with that the man turned to the hangar, he was as much a part of the 'parade' as the man now in their employ and the machine that had been awfully chatty.

Chatty enough to disturb its guard retinue, AI was not exactly a mystery anymore but superstition surrounding it would likely never fade. Not since the Controllers had inflicted enough damage on the image of AI as a whole. Any AI that could move so freely, so naturally was understandable as an object of fear. Beyond that it was singing, debating with itself the question of good and evil and bisecting the national anthem sentence by sentence. None there dared to respond to the open questions offered by Dolores, leaving those to the scientists that would be looking through the internals of this thing. It was just their job to make sure it didn't try anything or nothing tried anything to it.

An air of unease that calmed as the commanding officer for this mission walked in, the soft click of docking shaking the room for but a moment.

James breathed a sigh of relief as he heard the news. Well, at least he knows he won’t be put up for an execution parade anytime soon. Unless they’re feeling particularly cruel if he ever gets sent back, but he hopes that will never come to pass. “Well, good to know. And now I suppose I should see what it’s up to. I just hope it doesn’t make the mistake of using the Garlean or the Erebonian anthem.” He said as he commented on the singing emanating from the Caerleon’s hangar since earlier.

As the ship began to dock, James hurriedly rushed over to Dolores all the while wearing a communicator on his right ear. “Show time Dolores, just follow my lead this time. Alright?”

The hulking machine turned to face James as it saw him sprinting towards her. “Boyfriend James? Is that outfit for me?” As James arrived at Dolores’ feet, he expressed his confusion with a drawn out “Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… yeah? It does match your colors I suppose.” With the confirmation from its significant other, Dolores clasped its hands together and leaned against its arms in adoration. “Awwww… You shouldn’t have. You look so adorable in that little matching outfit!”

“Huh?” There was an odd silence between the two before it was broken by James’ flustered outburst. “W-What the hell do you mean? I’m not adorable, I look cool!” Dolores pondered audibly before shaking its head. “Oh. I suppose you do look pretty cool as well. But you just look so… cute!”

James planted his face into both hands and was about to let out a retort until the sound of the hangar bay doors spurred him into action. “Nevermind that, just follow my lead.” He quickly scrambled for the Orbital Frame’s cockpit as Dolores soon came to stand at its full height. “Time to show everyone what we can do together!”

’Yeah… together. Sure.’

Matching had been the intent, that was certain but that was before anyone truly knew the scope of the machine's independence from its pilot. As the hangar door opened a sense of normalcy briefly flowed into the hangar as Dolores behaved as the people here had expected before meeting the machine herself. Even the Gran Chers with their more sapience than sentience had not been nearly as stressful to be around for the personnel that had been with them the people within figured.

And now, as light entered the hangar from outside those within were brought face to face with a small array of Knightmare Frames at the ready, observing the new arrival with unseen eyes as beneath them, silently standing with arms clasped behind her back was Eleanor la Britannia. Before now the thing being presented to her had just been numbers on a whiteboard, nothing but a possibility of what it could rather than the reality of what it was. It was true that estimation was a deliberate saying that the specifications presented were a guess.

But, with the Crown Prince's order relayed regarding the Gran Chers the scientists were getting desperate to make a breakthrough for a cheap, mass producible, space capable and oriented unit which could still serve as a reliable ground troop. A lot, and well and truly a lot, of requirements to meet. This, was not that machine. It was a bed of technology to be reverse engineered to see which of the parts that made it capable of performing the tasks they needed on machines were viable for mass production. That rat race for funding was not hers to fight, but if men under her care succeeded at it all the better.

The officer stepped out of the lowered hangar, moving towards the Viceroy as the various soldiers around the entry saluted. He did the same shortly after towards the viceroy herself who acknowledged this with a simple nod. This, was the signal for those inside the hangar. The notion was simple, step out of the carrier and stand firmly on Britannian soil. Then perform the salute, after that the pilot was to exit the machine. Eyes were centered on the pair, the viceroy was watching. Perhaps the most important person to impress bar the emperor himself in this very instant as the one who could revoke the proposed citizenship status that was held by the man inside the machine. Knowing the standards she held however, was an impossibility in this first meeting where she gazed unflinching at the machine that came from another planet.

As the officer gave the signal, James motioned for Dolores to move forward. It did so, gliding forward on its long struts for legs as he carefully moved the more sensitive controls inside of Dolores' cockpit. While he was focused on the armed retinue before him, Dolores meanwhile stared around in awe looking at the decorated Knightmare Frames. It had heard of the tiny Para Mails in its short stay in Arzenal, and these were just as tiny. Was this what armies on Earth were like? Tiny and in many numbers? Actually there were numbers here weren't ther-

"Dolores, salute!" The machine jolted slightly as she stood at attention and saluted to the viceroy. "Dolores, reporting for duty! I'm your typical magical girl here on a journey!" To follow up on Dolores' antics, James opened the cockpit as he stood up and saluted as well. "Private Carter, at your service viceroy!" They both held their salute for a short while before the impatience finally got to Dolores and it leaned down a bit closer to inspect the viceroy. She seemed quite regal in her appearance, it immediately made Dolores get a lot of ideas. "Are you a princess by any chance, miss?" All the while, James lightly slammed the controls to get Dolores under control, but clearly it wasn't working as it continued to inspect the Area 11 Viceroy.

The viceroy calmly acknowledged the saluting machine, the minor horror tales she had heard during the briefing may just be exaggerated after all. A perception slightly destroyed by Dolores then speaking up and declaring itself a magical girl. Eleanor had heard that term before, from both the locals and media produced in area 11. Some even referred to SONG in such a way from what she recalled.

So far, bar unusual choice of wording by a machine things were progressing normally. Still, if it knew about magical girls that was something that could be used should need be. When the machine leaned down the surrounding smaller machines seemed agitated, weapons brought at the notion of readiness before the viceroy finally removed one of her arms from behind her back, raising a hand to signal the surrounding soldiers to cease. All the while, the poor officer which had walked out first was sweating bullets at this display.

"That I am." Eleanor answered at first. "I am Eleanor la Britannia, both viceroy of Area 11 as well as princess of Britannia." Normally a conversation was to be had with the pilot but with a machine that could speak one would need to converse with both. "But I am not the important one today, as it is your first day as part of our empire. So I would wish to learn about you, both of you."

The Knightmare frames still seemed ready to intercede should Dolores try anything funny but for the time being nothing was happening there yet.
"So if you would please let your pilot depart with a calm heart." Based on this little insight the machine was the one in charge between the two, as a frenzied attempt to calm the controls showed and only an attempt it was as Dolores inspected the royal.

"In the meanwhile please, I am curious as to what sort of magical girl you are and to hear about this journey of yours, because from what I understood you were entering service not merely passing though." The officer now behind Dolores began sweating not just bullets but entire mortar rounds with that being brought up, the realization that this machine could ruin so many things for a lot of people with mere choice of words was setting in and it was horrifying to him.

The princess in the meanwhile, considered this an opportunity. If the machine dragged the pilot along it merely flipped the script of who needed to believe in what, and the fact it introduced itself as a magical girl. Either protectors of Love and Justice or vanquishers of Evil sometimes both, meant it had an ideology or at least concepts of what it was fighting for and against.

“Well it’s nice to meet you, your highness!” The machine addressed Eleanor with a slight bow of its head before sitting down in a kneeling position, allowing James to get down. “Please just follow my lead next time, Dolores. You’re making it more trouble for her highness and it’s impolite to act like that in front of royalty.” Dolores’ ”ears” drooped down as it accepted James’ reprimands. He was right of course, and it was wrong to have kept up that little game at this point in time. It knows that he’s still up upset at it, but Dolores hoped to be able to fix that someday soon. “Sorry boyfriend James, it won’t happen again.”

“I really hope it doesn’t… and did you just call me that again? I… Agh nevermind.” James soon turned to face the viceroy and bowed reverently in her direction. “Thank you again for bringing us here, and sorry again for Dolores… it has absolutely no idea how to control itself.”

Dolores soon began to perk up at Eleanor’s question on becoming a magical girl. It hadn’t really thought that through just yet. It placed a finger on its chin as it pondered the question. “What kind of magical girl? Well I was thinking that I would discover that on my journeys. So I can’t give you an answer just yet. All I know is that I want to be the bestest and coolest one around!” But that answer led it to ponder another question of its own. “Speaking of journeys, what are good places to visit here I wonder? I heard there was a place called Mount Fuji that‘s blue and has white stuff on top of it like a snow cone. I also know there’s a bunch of lakes, and cities, and statues, and a lot more stuff than that island I was on!”

Standing right next to the officer now, James too began to sweat cats and dogs in response to Dolores’ usual antics being performed in front of the Viceroy. “Please don’t mess this up for me…”

The viceroy observed the exchange and the apology that followed, turning her attention towards James for a moment.
"Then allow me to properly welcome you to Britannia, and its military." She stated, "If I may give a recommendation, I've heard many speak fondly of the magical girls that are defenders of the people." A small nugget of suggestion to leave for Dolores, the other things it said moved it away from the mentality of a soldier but that could be handled.

"Dolores." The viceroy spoke after the machine blabbered on about what to visit. "This is not a vacation, nor are you here to sightsee. As a member of the Britannian military and soon one if its irregular divisions there are duties you are expected to fulfil first and foremost." She shifted from the calm tone used when discussing magical girls to an authoritative one. "Once you have completed your trial period to a satisfactory degree, then leave days can be discussed and of course an extraordinary performance will make granting such requests much easier. Now, normally machines are not granted leave days to begin with but you are an exception there Dolores." Her tone shifted again, making it apparent she was making an 'exception' of sorts for the pink mech "Originally the offer of employment was exclusively for Private Carter however similar terms could be applied for you thereby allowing you access to leave days as well."
The tone utilized, similar to what James had to face when the officer asked him inside Arsenal made this sound much like a favor when it was essentially conscription.
Her eyes moved from Dolores to James, the implication that if they failed to meet the requirements they would both be shipped back to from whence they came. An exception had been made to let them out, bringing them back in was much, much easier. Should Dolores accept it would mean both were subject to the assessment guaranteed. Now, perhaps the man could skirt on the edge with his machine being out of his control.
"Now Private Carter, I can say I am gladdened you learned our customs so quickly. I have high hopes for what you will achieve with us." despite the glance being one of a hawk looking at a worried mouse her tone was positive "However if Dolores cannot control itself, I consider it your duty to either teach her self control or ensure it." So much for him skirting on the edge, even if Dolores refused she was his responsibility now officially.

"So this time I will accept your apology, now please tell me of yourself. Dolores informed me of her desires but outside of leaving Arsenal behind what are yours?"

“Defenders of the people? Alright, I’ll just need to be more careful because like Miss Halligan said, Earthlings are very fragile. And… but I was told I could go anywhere my heart pleased. That’s not fair!” Dolores slammed her palm down, right next to James too which gave him a bit of a fright. It seemed that she was about to throw a childish tantrum until Eleanor mentioned having leave days. “Oh ok, that works for me. So maybe like… every weekend maybe? Saturday to Sunday?” Well it was a start with Dolores, but clearly it was going to take some haggling on breaks.

Meanwhile, James remained quite stern in the face of what was happening. “Dolores, I’m sure we’ll get enough time even if it’s not on the weekends. Ok? And yes, I look forward to working with you as well.” As for keeping Dolores under control… yeah that was a completely different beast entirely. “Just give her a nice hangar and she won’t complain… much. And I will try to watch over her. But there’s only so much that can be done when it’s acting like a 6 year old on rocket fuel.”

And then came her question. Wasn’t it obvious enough he wanted to get out of that hell hole? Oh well, he best give a more palatable answer at the very least since she asked so nicely. “Well, I for one don’t want to die in a prison. Second of all, I know a thing or two about making Mobile Suit OS. It would help speed up making a new unit for space with my knowledge and expertise on both Mobile Suits and Orbital Frames.” Well, he wasn’t a complete expert on Orbital Frames, but he knew enough to make a Raptor run.

“And I suppose… settle down. I don’t exactly want anymore trouble than I already have.”

When Dolores slammed her palm down the machines around shifted their arms, suddenly a plethora of guns found themselves aimed at Dolores as the Viceroy looked at the hand that had come admittedly uncomfortably close to squishing her where she stood. The scientists at a safe distance scribbling things down as they observed their new obsession. The viceroy raised a hand, the surrounding personnel ceasing their aiming at the Orbital Frame, for now at least.

And here she had been told the pilot had been recruited to control the machine and the machine had been obtained for the engineers to get ideas. How amusing that those roles were reversed instead, not that she was going to inform these two of that differing interpretation of matters as she listened to Dolores muse about days off, if James was able to compensate with his knowledge then...

"Glad the terms are acceptable to you Dolores, or I should say Private Dolores now." the viceroy added what a strange concept calling a machine private but that was how things like these things sometimes went apparently "A piece of advice for receiving days off, if the two of you get the project you will be contributing to ahead of schedule then something like that can be arranged as soon as possible and of course the cordiality expected of your posts will do no harm there." Goal posts, in sight at least though it wasn't clear how far they were as the schedule itself was not expanded upon as of this moment by the viceroy but perhaps for someone like Dolores merely being able to see the goal was fulfilling and of course putting them both together, if Dolores was as insistent normally as these past minutes then that aught to spur the pilot into motion as well without needing to keep a finger on the pulse.

"And currently we are looking more in the direction of Mobile Suits then Orbital Frames for the general design philosophy." She responded to James "But if you are knowledgeable that is wonderful as giving some insights into the operation of our big friend here is part of what we want out of your contributions to this project." She nodded towards Dolores, indicating her as both the target and one who could make contributions to the goal presented.
"Of course, all of your goals are plenty possible." She concluded the discussion regarding his wishes "Before you get properly introduced to the men who will be taking care of both of you are there any questions you would ask me?" this had been the most informal conversation she had had in a long time but that was to be expected when bringing in one person and a robot who knew next to nothing of their culture. Looking past Dolores at the officer she could see him dropping a load of water from his skin enough to replenish the great lakes that dotted Area 8.

“So just get things done faster? Leave it to me! A good magical girl is always reliable.” Dolores confidently placed its hands on its hips. With its posture, it certainly conjured the image of a blindly confident 7 year old. Not that James was going take her any more seriously at this rate. James was about to raise a question before Dolores responded with its own inquiry regarding the diminutive Britannian weaponry. “Actually I do have a question… why are these toy soldiers called Knightmares? They don’t look that scary, they just look like boy’s action figures.”

Seeing that Dolores was being childish once again, James quickly whispered to the viceroy a little important tip to her ear. “Your highness, I would suggest treating it like a kid. Treating it completely like a machine won’t get you anywhere. Worked on Arzenal, should work for you as well.”

James slowly backed off afterwards before asking his own question. “I do have a question, though it is more of a humble request, your grace. I was wondering if I could be set up with some equipment for coding, as I was planning to create a few combat programs for Dolores to use. I originally had an arrangement with Arzenal for a similar set up, so I was wondering if I could be provided with something similar to work on both Dolores and the Mobile Suit project you have in mind.” He wasn’t going to go anywhere if they couldn’t get him a computer to sit in front of. It was important that he get this, it’s the only way to put his skills to use and to ensure the success of this project and his own survival.

"A word of advice for dealing with children." The Viceroy responded in kind to the whispered tones "When others speak down to them, approaching them normally will have a much more positive outcome." Case in point was the current interaction with Dolores, resulting very much in the direction the royal wanted from the implications. At that point she turned her attention to the large machine once more.

"They shouldn't scare the people they protect." She answered "They after all are your fellow protectors and I am sure you know a magical girl people are afraid of is contrary to the point. But, they are called that because they are the modern knight. Virtuous, stalwart and honorable. If they inspire those ideals half as well in our youth as you seem to catch onto their task is already done before taking to the field. Besides that, its simply a fun portmanteau." A 'slightly' propaganda laden message but one that took a merely explaining tone rather than one that looked down, a voice that said 'its okay for you to not know this, you just got here'.

"As for your question, that is a request you will have to file with your handlers and superiors Private Carter." She gave a nod back to the scientists who had been observing, mainly Dolores but observing nonetheless, and with that seemed content with what she had provided for the pair.
"If that will be all, I look forward to seeing you both succeed."

"All hail Britannia." She stated, a statement that echoed from the men surrounding her. One she waited to conclude before she began to leave the hanger. Should the pair not approach him first, one of the scientists. A somewhat portly man with goggles almost as thick as aviators approached first. Eyes primarily focused on Dolores as he asked.

"We're grateful for your arrival on short order." He spoke almost absentmindedly, "Provided you've rested up enough during your trip to civilization I am inclined to start preliminary testing as soon as possible."

"Well... if you say so. Personally I think they should be named B Mare. For Britannia Mare. Sounds a lot friendlier." It said putting in a new name for the mechs that it dwarfed greatly in size. They were like mechanical horses when it thought about the matter, maybe James wanted his own to ride around? Well, he always had Dolores so it thought it didn't really matter, he can always ask nicely.

"Yes, my liege. All Hail Britannia." And by that point, James feels like he's ran out of fancy vocabulary to refer to the Britannian royal as she turned to leave. But now came the main reason why they wanted Dolores, he eyed the scientist as he approached anticipating his rush to get things started. "Well that depends, what type of testing did you have in mind? I don't she'd like anything... invasive. Believe me, I've tried and it fried everything connected to her."

Dolores gave the two a tilt with a curious energy, unsure what the two were discussing. "Invasive!? Are you two perverts?" James stood back a bit startled, this was... bad. "I uhhh... I can explain, Dolores. It was for maintenance, I was trying to backup your systems."

"And make a copy of me? Why would you need another me?" Was this... jealousy? Well it certainly sounded like it to James. It did declare him its boyfriend so it made sense that it felt betrayed. "Just your software, I just wanted to make sure everything worked just fine before I put it into you. I didn't want you to get hurt after all."

Come on James, pandering to the robot's empathy subroutines? Well, it was true he wanted to make sure everything was perfect, but he never expected that this type of reaction was going to occur. Though he of course hid the part where he was supposed to try and change it to be obedient and less... noisy. "Oh well... sorry... I thought you didn't like me anymore that you just decided to have your way with a copy of me instead." Well... she was more spot on than it even realized but in a completely different way. "But yes, nothing invasive please. I have my own privacy as a magical girl too after all."

The scientist watched this all unfold, now granted he had just witnessed the robot recruit itself into the Britannian forces and do all sorts of shenanigans but still it was uncanny, a mental note was made to avoid whatever personality this thing had and disallow that from touching what they were going to make out of it. An army of space worthy machines was good, but even worse than the Gran Cher's and their horse-esque tendencies imagining an army which had to be treated like a 5th grade school trip to the zoo every battle seamed like one which would not earn any praise but rather scorn.

"Are you done?" He asked, not equipped with the princess' grace it seemed "Unless Dolo- Private Dolores." He corrected himself "Can produce completely accurate schematics of her internal systems and which parts of it produce what effect in correlation with all other subsystems we will need to conduct an investigation. Even then we will need to verify the validity of such schematics one way or another." The scientist explained.

"Now, there's two ways to go about this mainly. One will be a diagnostics scan which we can only do if we have equipment capable of interfacing with your own systems. Which you have made sound rather unlikely." He said with a nod towards the man he mainly expected to be interacting with, the one which wasn't a giant robot. "The other, is reverse engineering. Taking apart a segment and putting it back again to see the good old fashioned way how things are put together and how to go about miniaturizing them."

"Its something to mull over for now, preliminary testing will not require either but will first test your capabilities to be able to produce the desirous effects. Most important being zero G movement and acceleration capabilities in this current instance." The man adjusted his goggles having finally answered James' question. "Everything clear so far?"

“Oh, you mean all this?” Dolores said as it flashed a number of diagnostic screens that could fill an entire big screen monitor with nothing but technical jargon. All of it at once was clearly a bit too much for one human to handle, thankfully James was able to make out some of it. Though not enough to actually know what it does. “Well… I think it just answered your question for you.” James commented as he looked at the multiple screens of data, amazed that the only thing you had to do to get this thing to work was to say please. Though in his case, it wanted him to say the magic word explicitly.

“Being taken apart? Well it was normal back when I first woke up, so I don’t see a big problem with that. Just try not to do what boyfriend James did and connect me directly into your systems. It tends to get set on fire.” It said while continuing to entertain the scientist’s requests by projecting the screen for them. Dolores didn’t have much idea as to why they wanted to do so, but either way it left that choice mainly up to James to decide if that was fine with him and if it satisfied the needs of the researcher.

“Who’s Zero Gee? Who’s that?” The machine said unaware of what the scientist mainly wanted to test, but now it was clear to James. They wanted a capable space fighting mobile weapons capable of what Dolores can do but on a much grander scale.

The scientist clearly had not expected Dolores to actually produce schematics of any sort, yet here they were. He just sort of nodded at James' remark as he looked at the data in front of him. Part trying to deduce if it was just dummy data, part to actually read it. It was when Dolores put another layer on top of one he was in the middle of reading that the scientist frowned. Trying first with his hand to move them and then sighing to himself.

"For the love of, not on top of one another." He commented to Dolores, turning back to his peers in the distance. "Bring the recorder here, it will be good to have this on tape!" One of his peers took out a camera, one used to record Dolores when she first appeared for research purposes and now brought over to the screens. With that the man with the spectacles turned his attention back on Dolores.

"We'll talk about the Zero G environment later, for now if you can put all of these in a row." The man said, still somewhat aware that he was talking to a machine not a woman but at the same time, the latter category didn't usually bring in so much useful data at the start while machines always did that on request. It was an unusual day to say the very least.

At the exit of the Hangar the viceroy gave one more glance back, noting the volume of screens appearing in mass numbers.
"It looks like the machine is eager enough to assist." One of her knights spoke, to which she agreed "I think a reward can be arranged, some entertainment that nicely joins what Dolores spoke of wishing to be." She noted, "If I recall some of the shows we had produced after I was instated as Viceroy did particularly well. Package those with some slightly worse rated shows."

The princess continued to leave as the knight nodded.
"Yes your majesty." The intent was clear enough, and one courtesy of James as well. After all it was he who said to treat her not dissimilarly from a child, and as such propaganda pieces for children that already landed in its interests would be a fine gift for its help. She didn't estimate the pilot would be one to genuinely and firmly believe in the Britannian ideals but the machine could.

Children, were ever so impressionable.
