The Servitors

Ominous harbingers of ill omen, the entities known as "Servitors" guard and attend to individuals of a certain persuasion. Garbed in pristine white robes and featureless black visors, each is a formidable physical specimen capable of overpowering even Mulian Faust Robes. Servitors are born from Psychoid Spores which, once released from their crystalline prisons, seek out a suitable host to transform against their will. The result is a fearless, heartless assailant that will follow its orders to the letter, even if it means hunting a target to the ends of the earth.

They come in seemingly two varieties, depending on their host: Male, or Female, but the differences are purely external. Although able to call upon a variety of weapons, they most commonly employ the fearsome signature Cathexis Coilsword and Cathexis Pistol. The Coilsword is, as its name suggests, a variable-length blade of jagged energy with a distinctive crackling noise, whose shape can be distorted to a variety of functions, becoming fluid or rigid as the moment demands; whereas the Pistol fires bolts of the same destructive matter, and can be reconfigured at a moment's notice into different forms for different ranges, such as a long rifle, a sub-machinegun, or shotgun for close quarters combat.

The source of a Servitor's power is in its chest, at the center of its ribcage, and it will maneuver to protect this Cathexis Core at all costs, as a fatal blow spells the end of its existence. When the moment is right, a Servitor will release the contained energy within its Core, reformatting its body into a towering battle form known as a Sigil.

Protean Guillotine:
A last-ditch effort, the Sigil Executant can sacrifice itself to release its remaining store of Protean Claws, transforming itself into a grasping hand that pierces the target with its nails and self-destructs.

History:

A Sigil used by Servitors in the employ of the Innocent. Unlike other Sigils, it is not quasi-mechanical in nature, rather it resembles a towering humanoid in form and function. Though it is lacking in durability compared to its peers, it makes up for it with creative and inventive attack strategies, such as utilizing flexible coilswords and the multipurpose Cathexis Rays, which can be used to grapple a target from a distance, or be fired as destructive beams from its palms.

The internals of the Executant are full of writhing Protean Claws, existences not unlike parasites that feed on the Cathexis energy the Servitor generates. When the Executant is wounded, or if willed, these claws erupt from the Executant’s body to pierce foes, able to reach long distances to ensnare unwitting prey. Even if the Sigil’s head is destroyed, its “brain” remains in its chest core, and its body will continue to be manipulated by the Claws until it is destroyed.
